For some, it might seem like AUNSW has played these games before... On Thursday of Week 2, four teams participated in a gameshow reminiscent of 2024's "Tomodachi Tournament"! After coming up with team names like "Team Kawaii" and "En-over", concentration and suspense filled the room as the next slides revealed a series of anime clips. 🎬
For the first challenge, players had to creatively adapt an anime scene by acting it out to the audience. The audience was entertained as they saw how people's cosplays and anime tastes shaped their team's adaptation. The next segment was a chaotic version of charades. All players were called to the centre of the room before they were split into actors and guessers. There were 12 prompts, and each prompt resulted in a vibrant buzz of activity as all teams at once desperately tried to convey what was on the screen to their guessers! Finally, in the spirit of the room being a Law Theatre, the teams magically transformed into passionate debaters as the last section prompted the teams to defend their side at all costs! ✨
Throughout these challenges, audience members enjoyed snacks as well as the ability to decide who won that round. After four segments of pure entertainment, the night was coming to an end. The host paused, picked up the microphone and declared that the team "Back in my Day" won! 🏆
